Ron was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He golfed at Westview Golf course every Sunday and Wednesday, plus bowled in a competitive league at Casino Lanes. He was even a state champion in ping pong! He also enjoyed fishing, playing outdoor games like washers, and spending time at his father-in-law's camp. He liked gambling at the casino, either on slot machines or 3-card poker. Ron traveled to Florida every winter to avoid the cold he so deeply hated, but when he wasn't traveling to Florida, Las Vegas was his vacation destination of choice. He was always on the go! When Ron was home, he enjoyed watching Westerns, the Dallas Cowboys, and golf on TV, especially if Phil Mickelson was playing. He loved fish fries (especially catfish), BBQ, and seafood, as well as eating at Mr. Bill's, O'Shea's, the Skyride Inn, and Rocky Point Club, where he was a member. Most of all, Ron loved family gatherings and always told them they could have "anything their little heart desires".
