RUIZ, MIKE

Mike Ruiz, 82, of Pico Rivera, CA, passed away on Saturday October 08, 2011 of Leukemia. He leaves his children Michael Ruiz Jr. of Whittier CA, Paul Ruiz of Pico Rivera CA, Maria Elda Avila of Corona CA, Armida McDaniel of La Habra CA, Maria Isabel Shill of Citrus Heights CA and Elsa O'Loughlin of Santee CA. His wife of 51 years, Ramona Lopez Ruiz predeceased him in 2000.

He also leaves his grandchildren - Michael Richard Ruiz III, John Douglas Avila, Randy Dean McDaniel Jr., Brian Paul Ruiz, Richard Anthony Maldonado, Harmoni Camille Vasquez, Antoinette Marie Munoz, Jacquelyn Kathleen O'Loughlin, Mark Joseph O'Loughlin II and Kevria Leeann Shill. And his great-grandchildren - Thomas Steven Ruiz, Dolorian Dee Sanchez, Sabrina Eshe Avila, Brianna Camille Vasquez, Brandon Hector Vasquez, Bryce Donovan Vasquez, Randy Dean McDaniel III and Makynzie Lynn McDaniel.

Mike was born on May 08, 1929 in Laredo, TX to Carlos and Juanita Ruiz. He retired as a Journeyman Welder Fabricator for the Los Angeles County Mechanical department. He enjoyed, golfing, traveling and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his daughter in law Sylvia Yvonne Armenta and his son in laws, Harold John Avila, Randy Dean McDaniel, Kevin Shill and Sgt. Major Mark J. O'Loughlin USMC.
