Albert Whitcomb Obituary

Albert Earl Whitcomb, of Lexington, passed away Monday night, July 22, at 99 years of age. He led an active life enjoying skulling the Charles while at MIT, skiing, camping, hiking, fishing, photography and other activities with friends and family and passed his enthusiasm on to his children. He had a long and successful career as an electrical engineer with A.T.& T. He worked with a team of scientists at Bell Laboratories to develop radar during World War II. He is pre-deceased by his first wife Barbara Whitcomb and his second wife Virginia Whitcomb, and by his sister Dorothy W. Laffin and brother Richard Whitcomb. He is held dear by his loving sister Ruth W. Crawshaw and by four loving children Susan W. Berman, Martha W. Philbrick, Steven Whitcomb and Donald Whitcomb. He is also lovingly remembered by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
