MURRAY LEXINGTON, NC Albert "Al" Cleo Murray March 9, 1924 - Jan. 15, 2013 Mr. Albert "Al" Cleo Murray, 88, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at The Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington, NC. Mr. Murray was born on March 9, 1924 in Georgia to Mr. Clarence Holson Murray and Minnie Evans Murray. Al was a member of the United States Army and fought in World War II. He was also a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. Preceding Mr. Murray in death are his parents; two brothers, Walter and Hubert and three sisters, Gloria, Ruby, and Thelma. Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Gail Murray of the home; two sons, Phillip Murray of Raleigh, NC and Alan Murray of New Bern, NC; one daughter, Cindy King (Tommy) of Raleigh, NC; two grand-daughters, Brittany King and Kendell King, both of Raleigh, NC; a stepdaughter, Linda Spear and grandson, Justin Stewart, both of Lexington, NC; a loving niece, Lisa Seavers (Boo) of New Bern, NC and a grandniece, Melissa and daughter Bella, both of New Bern, NC; five sisters, Barbara, Carolyn, Minnie Ruth, Ola, and Frances, all of Georgia, and one brother, Bill of Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
