Bobbi Donley Yarbrough

YARBROUGH WINSTON-SALEM - Bobbie (Jean) Donley Yarbrough Dec. 23, 1936 - Feb. 11, 2012 Mrs. Bobbi (Jean) Donley Yarbrough took her last earthly breath and went to meet Jesus on February 11, 2012 at the age of 75, after a four month battle with colon cancer. Her devoted daughter, Karen Yarbrough Scott and son-in-law, Peter Scott were by her side. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Amonate, WV to the late Robert Lee Donley and Mary Harris Donley. She was preceded, also in death, by her husband Lloyd S. Yarbrough; her brother, Damon Donley and sister Christine Donley Harmon. Surviving is her only daughter, Karen Yarbrough Scott, and husband Peter of Clemmons, NC; Four grandsons, Christopher Vestal (Brandie), Ryan Vestal, Sam Vestal of Clemmons NC, and Jacob Scott of Jamestown, NC; one great granddaughter, Elaina Vestal and one great grandson, Elijah Meredith of Clemmons, NC; Brothers James (Buddy) Donley and wife Nancy of Winston-Salem, NC; Bernard Donley and wife Carolyn of Columbia MO; Doug Donley and wife Cynthia of Walkertown, NC; Bill Donley and Becky of Winston-Salem, NC and a sister, Aileen Donley Enscore of Winston-Salem, NC; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yarbrough was retired from Southern Bell/Bell South after a 38 year career and was a 40 year faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church. Special recognition is required for family and friends that helped sustain mom and I (Karen) the last four months, and they are as follows: Doug and Cynthia Donley, Dianne Hawkins, Sue Brazell, Marty and Wallace Cole, Marty Nifong, Barbara and Mike Lowder, Meredith and Phillip, Aileen Enscore, Joyce Hardister and Maxine Hairston. At Mrs. Yarbrough's request a memorial and life celebration will be held in the fall of 2012 to allow for her oldest grandson, Christopher Vestal, to return from his tour of duty in Afghanistan.
