Estelle Bridges "Marie" Jones

JONES MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Estelle "Marie" Bridges Jones, 87, of East Maple Avenue, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Union County, Tenn., to the late Henry G. and Mary Ella Parker Bridges. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and of the Independent Baptist faith. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening and collecting antiques. Mrs. Jones especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal and Audrey; three brothers, Bill, Horace and Jimmy; and two great-grandchildren, Crystal Butero and Karla Nicole Osborne. Survivors include her husband, Wilford J. Jones of the home; two daughters, Lela (John) Butero and Joanne (Karl) Osborne, all of Mocksville; five grandchildren, Johnny (Paula) Butero, Michael (Donna) Butero, Amanda Osborne, Joey Osborne and Charlie Osborne; and two great-grandchildren, Christina Butero and Ashley Butero. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Eaton Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Swisher officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Eaton Funeral Home.
