Jack was a pleasure to care for. He was such an interesting man, sweet and caring towards the nurses that cared for him. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I met Jack on my first day at WAVE-TV, November 16, 1972. Along with Bob Kay, we worked and had many good times together for four years on 'The Midday New'. Jack had to explaint to me what 'canners and cutters' were. He also helped move me from the National Guard into the Kentucky Air Guard, where I worked under him in the public information office. In 2007, Jack administered the oath office to my daughter as an Air Force Officer. I will miss Jack and will always treasure our long friendship.

Brenda, So sorry for your family's loss. I remember your father visiting L M Sanders back in our school days and being the famous guy at the State Fair. What a good, nice man he was. Again, I am so sorry.

I serve in the Kentucky Air National Guard with LtCol Jack and was honored to be friends with him. He always loved his work in the military because he was a true patriot and loved serving his country. I will remember him for his wisdom, gentleness, helpfulness, and friendliness. Jack was a celebrity to me, because I knew his voice before I knew him, having grown up on a farm in Boyle County. May Jacks family be blessed the same that Jack blessed so many.

I said goodbye to Jack Crowner "On the Air" today. Tonight I cried. I grieved for our loss. Jack was a gentle, thoughtful soul. A farm broadcaster we his colleagues strive to emulate. He was, "the voice of agriculture".

Sue...Jack was an influence on my professional life. Farm Broadcaster to Farm Broadcaster. The first time I talked to Jack I was immediately brougt in as a friend. He amazed me. His work ethic and how he related to people. Watch Jack and you could see first hand how a job was to be done and how friendships are to be valued. Jack is missed.

I knew Jack from his years of service with the Ky Air National Guard. Always a gentleman with a smile, a kind word - a friend to all. A true patriot. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I always enjoyed our visits each year at the National Association of Broadcaster's Convention and at other locations where our paths crossed as we covered agriculture. Jack was a great man and a good friend. The world is a better place because Jack was in it. I am thankful God shared him with us. Sincerly, Denny Banister (Missouri Farm Bureau, retired)

It is with great sadness Sharon and I learned of Jack's passing. Jack was my boss,my friend and my mentor. I have so many memories of being Jack's assistant there is not a day passes that I don't smile as I think of one little thing he taught me or a laugh we shared. He was a master at the interview. He understood live television and always had great insight to what was good for his audience and the TV radio stations he worked for. Jack was one of a kind. We lost a great broadcaster but his memory and legacy will remain. Sue and family our thoughts and prayers are with you through these tough times. Rich and Sharon Hull

Edith Sue and Family,
Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. Jack and I were Michigan IFYE's in 1953 - he with you to New Zealand; I to Turkey. I always enjoyed our occasional connections over the years. Blessings to all! Mel and Linda Thompson

No one in the family probably ever heard of me….but Jack was a true friend. In my 15+ years of providing speakers for the Breakfast Optimist Club, Jack, many times saved the day. When a scheduled speaker cancelled at the last minute…..Jack would come and fill in. Never had a problem bringing up a story or two or three that would enthrall the Optimistic Members. I would call Jack at the station and and he'd be there a 7:45 AM when then meeting started. All he ever got was a free breakfast…..Too bad there' no more like him.

I had the privilege to know Jack within the radio broadcasting business. What a professional and a true gentleman. Radio is a better industry because of Jack Crowner.

A great broadcaster, who was larger than life. I was privileged to know Jack and to call him a friend. I might not see him for months, but when I did, it was like old home week every time. Just a great guy.

Remember the voice still, from my Louisville childhood in the '60s. I used to joke I'd someday live where the price of hog bellies was not in the news. Now that I do, it's missed.
