James Ayers Obituary

TOBACCOVILLE - Mr. James Everette Ayers, 67, of 205 Butner Road passed away Friday, March 7, 2003, at his home. He was born July 4, 1935, in Surry County to James Arthur and Cora Bottoms Ayers. Mr. Ayers was a retired truck driver with Anchor Motor Freight and a member of Kernersville Full Gospel Mission. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Smith Ayers of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Gentry and husband Gary of King, Donna Kiger and husband Jeff of Rural Hall and Shannon Booth and husband Jeff of King; three grandsons, Shane Watson, Brandon Gentry and Taylor Vaden; a sister, Edith Nelson of Pinnacle and two brothers, Ray Ayers of East Bend and Roby Ayers of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 10, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Kernersville Full Gospel Mission conducted by Brother Garland Glascoe and Brother Roby Ayers. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Memorials may be in floral tribute or to Hospice of Stokes County, P.O. Box 10, Danbury, NC 27016. The Ayers family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home, Pilot Mountain.
