Dr. Kenneth Benbow Moser Sr., son of Aurelius Alexander Moser and Martha Hauser Moser, died in his sleep Tuesday, April 29, at Brookridge Retirement Community. He was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County. Dr. Moser was married for 50 years to Ann Bizzell Moser of Goldsboro, who passed away in May of last year. He is survived by a daughter, Martha Ann McDonald of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Kenneth Benbow Moser Jr. of Cary; a daughter-in-law, Roche del Hayes Moser also of Cary; and three grandchildren, Marie Adele Moser, Dana Alexander McDonald and William Wesley McDonald. Dr. Moser was a graduate of Reynolds High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Dr. Moser received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his DDS from the University of Pennsylvania. He practiced dentistry in Winston-Salem for many years and was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He spent his post-retirement years caring for his loyal canine companion and pursuing his love of gardening. He was known far and wide for his tomato crops. A Winston-Salem native, his father and brother Wade Hauser Moser Sr., who both preceded him in death, operated A.A. Moser and Son Feed and Seed on Trade Street for many years. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Forsyth Memorial Park by the Rev. Roland Barnhardt. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family asks that memorial gifts be made to Brookridge Retirement Community, Prince Nursing Center, 1199 Hayes Forest Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.

I am a friend of Martha Ann's. I was sad to hear of Dr. Moser's death, especially since I remember when all of our parents were much younger than we are now. Thoughts and prayers are coming to Winston-Salem from Minneapolis to Martha Ann and her entire family.
