Margaret APPLE Obituary

APPLE KERNERSVILLE Margaret Barrow Apple October 13, 2012 Margaret Barrow Apple, 89, died October 13, 2012 at her home. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 16, 2012 at Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Forsyth County, she was the daughter of the late Sadie Ann McGee Barrow and John Hartsell Barrow. She graduated from Kernersville High School in 1941 and soon after was married to the late Jimmie Baynes Apple. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by her daughters Andrea Jan Apple and Margaret "Tucom" Apple Pulliam, sisters Melba Richardson and Kathleen Pegram, and brother Harlan "Wuz" Barrow. Margaret was a homemaker and was never happier than when she was surrounded by her loving family. She loved her hymns and enjoyed listening to the Gaithers. Margaret always shared what she had with others, especially if she knew they were in need. She loved sending cards, making phone calls, and having company. Her dinner table was always crowded, not only with family, but friends and sometimes even strangers. Survivors include her daughters Pat Apple-Berry and John of Kernersville and Melissa Apple of Kernersville; sons Jim Apple and Gloria of Columbia, SC, Tim Apple and Jinny of Kernersville, and John Apple of Greensboro, and son-in-law Sid Pulliam of Kernersville; grandchildren Tracey Vaughan and Mike, Patrick Adams, Don Adams, Wil Pulliam and Wendy, Ben Pulliam and Melanie, Emily Apple-Spirytus and Michael, Derrick Apple and Claire, Charlie Apple, Jake Apple, Blake Shahnizadeh and Alex Cluff; great-grandchildren Hayden Vaughan, Dow Adams, Sadie Adams, Justin Adams, Diane Adams, Dexter Adams, Kelvin Adams, and Jessica Adams, Taylor and Gracie Pulliam, and Cassidy and Olivia Pulliam; sister Brenda Barrow Collins of Kernersville; brother-in-law Wayne Apple and Cleide of Oak Ridge; special cousin Ruth A. "Sissy" King; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
