Theresa Cardinal Obituary
October 14, 1950 - June 5, 2025
BEAVER DAM - Theresa K. Cardinal, 74, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Theresa was born on October 14, 1950, in Fort Meade, Md., to Eugene and Shirley (Hauer) Cardinal. She was a 1968 graduate of Menasha High School and later received her BA in Library Science from UW-Oshkosh. Theresa began her career managing periodicals at UW-Milwaukee. Afterwards, she was employed with UW-Hospital and retired after 44 years of employment with Dane County and the State of Wisconsin. She was married to William J. Joslyn II on May 1, 2007 in Madison. Theresa will be remembered as a wonderful and caring person who was loved by all.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Wil Joslyn; her siblings: Debbie (Walter Burt) Cardinal, Andrew Cardinal, Martha Davis, and Anne Marie (John) Tessmer; stepsisters: Janet Drury and Nancy Whittaker; sisters-in-law: Leona Joslyn, Lyn (Kevin) Blackston, Julia Mink, Jennie (Mark) Becker, and Sarah Joslyn; nieces and nephews: Zeke Tessmer, Maxx Tessmer, Nicholas (Christine) Davis, Becky Joslyn, Meghan (Dan) Simons, Jay (Shannon) Joslyn, Jason (Lisa) Blackston, Korie (Jon) Mitchell, Joslyn (Charlie) Mink, Halie Becker, and Hannah (Steve) Kelly; and stepniece, Tara Drury.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Marcella Cardinal; in-laws, Jay and Ana (Blodgett) Joslyn; brother-in-law, Tom Joslyn; and niece, Nicole Joslyn.
It was Theresa's wish that no formal services be held and cremation is to take place.
Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
