Ebsen, Mary Marjean (Jean)

Mary Marjean (Jean) Levers Ebsen, age 86, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 7, 2014 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Private family graveside services and a celebration of Mary Mar jean's life will be held at a later date.

Mary Marjean was born on February 8, 1928 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. She was the daughter of John Sherman and Mary Amanda (Martin) Levers. She married Henry R. Ebsen, Jr. on December 8, 1947 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He died August 11, 2012. Mary Marjean owned and operated Ebsen Greenhouses, Inc. with her husband for 60 years retiring in 2009.

Mary Marjean is survived by six daughters, Mary Anne (Dennis), Jean Patrice, Debra Sue (Dennis), Sally Kay (Bruce), Jennifer Luise (Mark) and Mary Rebecca (Randy); 12 grandchildren, Monica (Chris), Leonard III (Jennifer), Amanda (Jason), Jessica, Kelly (Alex), John, Daniel (Katie), Aaron, Michael (Andria), Caitlin (Bryan), Sarah and Nicholas; 14 great grandchildren, Hunter, Jasmine, Alexis, Leonard IV, Michael, Michaela, Timothy, Ariel, Chase, Maria, Hajna, Asher, Izabella and Carter.

Mary Marjean is also survived by her brother's children, Natalie, Margaret, Stephanie and Brian and their families as well as brothers-in-law, James (Patricia) Ebsen, and Mark (Betty) Ebsen and sisters-in-law, Joan Erickson, and Barbara (James) Dunn and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Marjean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; father and mother-in-law, Henry, Sr. and Catherine Ebsen; her brother, Stanley M. Levers and his wife, Nancy, of Wooster, Ohio; and granddaughter, Joy Marie; and members of her extended family.

Mary Marjean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose family always came first. She will be dearly missed by her family. She requested that in lieu of memorials, please send flowers to someone you love.

I still have fond memories of taking naps in flower boxes in the greenhouse when my mom worked there with Gramdma and Granpa Ebsen and Hank and Marjean.
