Phyllis Rose Strunk

Phyllis Rose (Wilson) Strunk, age 91, of Tupelo, Mississippi, formally from Greencastle, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at her residence in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born in Owen County Indiana on September 24, 1933 to Forrest "Wayne" and Sophie (Meek) Wilson. She graduated from Quincy High School and was married to Cecil Strunk for 63 years. Phyllis was a retired cook. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and playing Putt Putt Golf. Phyllis also loved going to yard sales and thrift stores. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Judy Bland, Trina McGuire, and Pamela (David) Johnson; grandchildren, Ryan (Chaya) Bland, Tim (Rebeckah) Bland, Amanda Bland, Misty (Wilson) Coleman, Tosha (Ben) Worthen, Aaron (Becca) Clark, Josh (Amanda)Clark, Kerri Clark and Brittany (Jacob) Wagner; 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Sue (Jim) Winders. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sophie and Wayne Wilson; husband, Cecil; siblings, Donald Wilson, Dorman Wilson, Jim Wilson, and Wanda Cradick; son-in-law Terry Bland. Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 pm till time of the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Chambersville Cemetery.
