Samuel Wilson Obituary
SAMUEL LEE WILSON, 78 of Hansford, WV, fell asleep in death, April 17, 2024, on his 53rd wedding anniversary. He was born in Crown Hill, WV, and was a 1964 graduate of East Bank High School. He was owner of Valley Maintenance cleaning business for 30 years. More recently, he was employed by NAPA in Montgomery, WV, in sales and as a parts driver for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Georgianna Wilson; sibling, Patricia A. Estese; and son, Nathaniel K. Wilson.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Wilson and son, Joshua Wilson of Hansford, WV; siblings, David Wilson, Charleston, WV, Daniel Wilson, Crown Hill, WV, Leone Lewis (Theodore) Dunbar, WV, Jonathan Wilson (Lissa) Raleigh, NC, Rebecca Hill, Mooresville, NC, as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sam was a loyal, energetic, and generous man with a very strong work ethic. He was devoted to his wife and two sons. He was known to many by his large smile and sense of humor. His generosity was marked by the many thank-you notes left in his vehicle by those whom he helped without hesitation. His loyalty to his Creator, Jehovah, is shown by his baptism as a teenager. He spoke to many of his hope of the resurrection into a paradise earth. (Mathew 6:10, Acts 24:15)
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5018 Lancaster Avenue, Charleston, WV. To attend the memorial service virtually via ZOOM, you may call 304-552-0878 for details.
