Nancy Renda

YORK Nancy Lou (Bair) Renda, 70, passed away, Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at her residence. Born on April 3, 1937, in York, she was the daughter of the late Anna Mary Steckler. Nancy retired from Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the housekeeping department. Nancy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was very protective of her family. She was also a very outgoing woman who spoke her mind and had a true zest for life. She was an avid gardener and bingo player. Nancy also enjoyed cooking and had a great passion for hummingbirds. Due to her lengthy battle with cancer, Nancy willed her body to Hershey Medical Center through the Humanity Gifts Registry Program to help with the cancer research program. Nancy believed in helping others. She is survived by a son, Joseph Victor Zobler of Red Lion; two daughters, Mary Christine Renda and Judith Ann Renda, both of York; and five grandchildren. Funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
