Thomas Saunders Obituary
NEW LEXINGTON: Thomas A. "Ruby" Saunders, 62 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 4:54 am on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his home after a long illness.
Born April 30, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late J. Edgar & Ruby Holden Saunders.
He was a Catholic by faith; an employee of EveryWare Global/Anchor Hocking Plant for the past 40 years; just an all-around good guy and will be greatly missed.
Survived by his wife of 16 years, Kate Wolfe Saunders; brothers, Bob Saunders and Bill (Karen) Saunders; step-children, Matt and Kelli Price; 2 grandchildren, Levi Price and Cayson Keister; nieces, Alex and Maddy Saunders and many friends.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a brother, Jim "Weeds" Saunders and a nephew, Trenton Saunders.
Calling hours will be from 3pm-6pm with Wake Service at 6pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Corner of Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio with Father Paul Noble as celebrant.
Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Cancer Alliance, P. O. Box 724, New Lexington, Ohio 43764 and/or FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
