Jennie Cabrera Ordaz, 78, of Camarillo completed her journey here and entered the heavenly gates on Nov. 16, 2006, with her family at her side, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 25, 1928, in Santa Paula to Juan and Petra Cabrera. She was a homemaker for the past 20 years. She enjoyed parties, cooking, laughing, helping others, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Raymond; daughter Vivian Roman and son-in-law Raul Roman; daughter Rachel Benavides and son-in-law Jerry Benavides; daughter Virginia Gutierrez; nephew (raised as a son) Arthur Escandon; grandchildren, Chris Vasquez, Annette Vasquez, Yvonne Walker and her spouse, Darryl, Raymond Ruiz and his spouse, Michelle, Raul Roman Jr. and his fiancée, Vanessa Franco, Stephanie Benavides and Jerry Benavides Jr.; great-grandchildren, Arthur Vasquez and his spouse, Sonia, Anthony Vasquez and his fiancée, Ivory Minjares, Veronica Lopez and her spouse, Mark, Andy Vasquez and his fiancée, Reyna Flores, Keith Vasquez, Martin Villegas, Valerie Vasquez, Denise Vasquez, Marcus Walker, Monica Walker, Malissa Vasquez and Isaac Roman; great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa Vasquez, Jalissa Vasquez, Lyann Vasquez, Joaquin Lopez, A.J. Vasquez, Branden Lopez and Ciarrah Vasquez; brothers, Ramon Cabrera and Francisco Cabrera; sister, Josephine Caranza; and many other nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
She was, and will always be, loved dearly. She will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to be a part of her life. She will always have a special place in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at Pierce Bros. Griffin Mortuary Memorial Chapel, 1075 E. Daily Drive, Camarillo. A vigil rite service with recitation of the rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel on Ventura Boulevard in Camarillo. Interment will be held at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.

Ordaz family. My deepest condolences to all of you. I know what a special Mom, Grandma she was to all of you know how lucky you are to have such a wonderful family filled with so much love and joy.
