The memories will never fade: leaving you out of breath out west...the time you interrupted an important business meeting so we could be alone...those rides through the desert, making plans together. Your family was always so supportive and just let us be us. Your ever-brightening smile shines on - I could never quit you.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I met Mr. Gabriel in the early 1990s at the Department of Energy serving in the Office of the Secretary of Energy. He was a remarkable gentleman with a sparkling personality and an asset to to this country. It was a privilege to know him.
