JULIA LYNNE SHERMAN

August 9, 1947 – July 7, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Julia Lynne Sherman (née Harmon), who died on July 7, 2025 at the age of 77. Born on August 9, 1947 in Santa Ana, California, to Steve & Geri Harmon, she lived most of her life in Bakersfield and South Lake Tahoe. Her life was devoted to her love for her family, and the love and pride of her life was her son Jeffrey. She spent her career in accounting and spent her retirement traveling the world with her family, including trips to Italy, Croatia, Greece, France, Monaco, Spain, and her favorite, Maui, where the family spent many holidays. Seeing the Rockettes perform on Christmas in New York City recently was a life-long dream realized.

Julia was devoted to charitable causes and gave generously to the college fund for Native American children living in poverty and animal rescue charities in rural Texas. She was always there with a helping hand for others in need. A woman small in stature, but large in spirit, she never understood how important and loved she was she did so much for so many. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey and his wife Jimmie, husband John, sister Ginger Hill and her family Jaime, Alyssa, Kaylee, Eric & Lindsey; brother & sister-in-law, Dana & Terri Harmon and family Brett, Alexandra, and Chad and their families.

A private service celebrating Julia's life will be held on July 23, 2025
