Diane Ramberg Obituary

Diane Linse was born in Snohomish, Washington on May 17, 1939. She passed away with family at her side on January 28, 2026 at Ashley Pointe Senior Living in Lake Stevens.

Diane was a 1957 graduate of Snohomish High School (SHS). She was in a wide range of activities including Yearbook Editor, Arrowhead Staff, Head Drum Major, Thespians, and Clarinet Quartet. Diane was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church. Her mother's uncle was Rev. Herman Ebeling, one of the early pastors of Zion.

Diane Linse married Robert (Bob) Ramberg (SHS '53) June 7, 1957. They celebrated 51 years together until Bob passed away December 3, 2008. Diane and Owen Haselton (SHS '55) were married on February 1, 2012. She passed away a few days before their 14th Anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie, her first husband Robert (Bob) Ramberg, her parents Clatus and Vi Linse, and her brother Steve Linse.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Owen Haselton, children Jon (Maria) Ramberg, Brian (Linda) Ramberg, Mark (Christa) Ramberg, Brennan (Ann) Haselton, Hilary Haselton; grandchildren Tim (Kelsey) Ramberg, Becca (Chance Alsup) Ramberg, Hayden Ramberg, Lillian Ramberg, Justus Ramberg, great-grandchildren Ryan and Riley Ramberg; her brother Don (Judy) Linse, sister-in-law Donna Linse, nieces and nephews.

Diane was an active organizer of class reunions since she graduated in 1957. She and Bob were Co-Chairs for the Snohomish High School Centennial Alumni Reunion- 100 Years of Excellence in 1994. She worked as a secretary for the Snohomish School District for 10 years. Diane owned a Stretch & Sew Fabric store in Everett for about 15 years. Then, she was an Eyeglass Frames sales representative for close to 10 years before retiring.

Diane enjoyed playing tennis and was an enthusiastic tennis fan. A highlight for her was touring Wimbledon on a 2009 trip to Europe with Jon, Maria and Tim. She enjoyed water skiing. Diane was a Seahawk and Mariner fan especially cheering for Cal Raleigh. She was a gourmet cook and an amazing gardener. Her sons remember wonderful family summer vacations in the cabins at Kayak Point when they were kids. Crabbing, clamming, fishing and many sunsets around a beach fire toasting marshmallows were highlights.

Her family was very important to her. Diane loved actively sharing in their lives. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom lived a very full and rewarding life, giving herself to all of us. She was always there for family and friends in good times and in challenging times.

A private burial will be held with immediate family at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Snohomish. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 22, 2026 at 12 noon at their home. Instead of flowers, Diane requested remembrances be made to Children's Hospital in Seattle.
