Donna Jaquart
June 20, 1944 - September 24, 2025
Donna Jacquart, 81, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., surrounded by her loving family, after a brave fight with four different cancers. Born on May 30, 1944, in Calumet, Mich., Donna was raised in the Upper Peninsula, where her appreciation for nature and community first took root. After graduating from high school, she moved with her family, Gene and Kay Turner and her siblings, to Racine, Wis. She spent the rest of her life in Racine building a home, raising her children, and becoming deeply connected to the community. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Donna raised her children with values that reflected who she was-family first, stay active, and always find ways to serve others. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially when traveling and experiencing new places. Donna also touched countless lives beyond her family. Known for her warmth, sharp wit, and generosity, she built lifelong friendships and was a beloved figure throughout Racine. For more than 40 years, Donna was a cornerstone of the Sausage Kitchen, a local landmark restaurant and deli. Her dedication, hard work, and welcoming presence made her both a mainstay and a legend to colleagues and customers alike. Service to others was also at the heart of Donna's life. She was a frequent volunteer, especially at Bong State Park, where she enjoyed giving back to the beautiful outdoors. She delighted in sharing her love of food with others-never hesitating to bake sweet treats for friends, family, and neighbors. Donna also had a special gift for making pasties, the miner's staple passed down through generations, which she baked with both skill and pride. Donna is survived by her son, Brent (Mary) Jacquart of Palm Coast, Fla.; and her daughter, Nicole (Matt) Horton of DeForest, Wis.; her cherished and amazing grandchildren, Jasmine, Alexis, Sarah, Adam, and Owen; her fun great-grandson, Baron; her beloved sister, Lane (John) Hansen of Union Grove, Wis.; and her many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kay and Gene Turner and her siblings, Cheryl Turner and Mark Turner. Donna's legacy is one of love, service, and strength-a life well lived and deeply felt by all who knew her. The family invites you to share condolences and memories of Donna online at
