I apologize for the delay of my message. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother, is sorely missed. All the Allies owe her a great deal of gratitude for her Grace and Courage during WWII. Remember that even Hitler feared her. I feel that she is happy being w/ her husband after such a long separation. We miss you Ma'am. May your legacy of charm and grace continue on in all of us.

When I think of the Queen mum, I think of the delicious rasberry scone recipe she sent me in 1990. The Queen mum liked to bake, and her bananna carob bread was incredibly moist and tasty. I think she used the small dark reddish skinned bananas that are so hard to find in the stores.

I always loved the Queen Mother, even as a small child. I had the good fortune to see her here in St. John's Newfoundland in 1967 when she was here on the Royal Yacht. I always loved her gentle and quiet way and her friendly way and her love for everyone. I loved her personality so much. I will always remember her and how special she was. You are now at rest. Rest well.

Hello,
I Vincent Elgey felt i had to write, to offer my condolencies for the death of this great leaders parent. I was the royal correspondant for the manchester observer in england, and I was the first person in manchester to report the news on television (which as you would imagine was a touching experience). There hasnt been a day gone by that I have forgot her, she was a marvel to our country and I will always cherish her forgiving smile. When I broke the news to my friends (bobby cheryl Mike and Jay) they where absolutely gutted like me. But we put all our tears to 'one side' and toasted sweet champagne and lemonade (Bucks Fizz) in our local Publican house. I will never forget her and she will never leave my prayers.
queen mother, although your time was short on this little earth your efforts and your face will never leave us.
thankyou
Vince Elgey

What a wonderful and long life. You are now with my grandmother who died at 106. She was like you and strong until the end. It will be hard for Queen Elizabeth but she was blessed to have her sister and mom for so long. Many of us do not have that blessing. Rest dear Mum and your smile will always be remembered. Your life reflects how we all should live. Love people no matter the money or status but love unconditionally. No matter if we are poor or royalty we still suffer the same pains and we still are happy by the same joys. God bless you dead Mum. Margaret needed you and in time you will all be together and your earthly job will be done.
