As I read through the many loving messages left by well wishers. I also, have to join in and say, that Jack Wilborn was a Godly Man, one who lived his life, following Jesus. I am forever changed by knowing Jack. His kindness, respect and Godly Love for others were rare gifts, that he possessed. The world is a better place, because he was here. Love and prayers go out to you, The Jack Wilborn Family. ~ Joanie Beeman

Jack was the brother of my step-mother Mary. She loved her brother so much and his children. I use to listen to stories she would tell me about Jack and his kids. He will be truly missed.

My Dad got his start in the auto business by getting himself hired by Jack. My Dad told me that on the day he went in to apply for a job selling cars, Jack was impressed because he looked him in the eye when he spoke to him. Jack gave him the keys to a car and said go see what you can do with it. After about an hour, my Dad came back with money and asking for a bill of sale...he sold 5 more cars that day, and subsequently worked for Jack 30 + years. As my Dad has often said, "Jack is like the brother I never had." I loved Jack myself, and I will never forget how he treated me as his own(think my Dad has a picture somewhere of Jack holding me when I was a baby).
To the Wilborn family: Jackie, Craig, Terri, I want you to know that I will never forget Jack and what he stood for. When I see Jesus in Heaven, after Him I expect to see Jack. 2 Corinthians 5:1

Dear Jackie,
It's so sad your father died. He suffered so much, but found peace in God in order to live with your sister Andrea's death. Not many of us have an attentive parent. I hope you will find the strength to go on.

I knew Jack through his daughter Tracy. I found this obituary by accident trying to find Tracy. Jack was the most gentle human being I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I loved both he and Betty and am saddened that I missed both of their funerals. To the family, may God bless you all.

Jack was my father's first cousin and a big part of my childhood. For several summers we visited Jack and his family in Fort Worth and they visited us in Tampa. He was gracious and generous during those visits, treating us like his own children. What I loved most was hearing Jack's deep, slow-as-molasses voice on the phone when he called. My father, who passed away a few years ago, really enjoyed his time with Jack. Speaking for my mother, my brother Steven, and the rest of our family, we send our deepest sympathy. We are so lucky to have known him.

To Dee & Jackie I was very sorry to hear of your loss. I know what a wonderful person your Dad was, always helping others and being a very gracious gentleman. He exhibited a calming nature that I will never forget. If either of you need anything, please do not hesitate to call, or come by and visit, if possible. My prayers are with you both, and your families.

I only met Jack one time, it was at his car lot, but we spoke often. Our company did the striping for his car lot and he would often call wanting work done. He was always such a perfect gentlemen on the phone with me. Such a nice person to do business with.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wilborn Family. We had bought several cars from Mr. Wilborn. He was a bright, special man always smiling and always treating me and my family with a lot of respect. Always very professional and friendly at the same time, everytime we were signing paper work, dropping off a payment or just drooping by to say hi. You will be missed because people like you is hard to find these days, but now he's at a better place. Rest In Peace.

I have known Jack for many years, and bought many cars from him. I had six kids and when they turned driving age I would go see Jack for their first car because I knew the cars would be trustworthy. I meet Jackie after a while and became good friends with both. I will miss seeing Jack, but know he is in a beautifull place. God bless.

Mr. Wilborn made a huge impression on me as a Christian when he came as a guest to speak at the court reporting school I was attending. We had just completed reading a nonfiction book about his daughter's murder, and he shared his testimony of how he let go of his bitterness and hatred and gave it over to God. That always stayed with me and a couple of years later I too became a Christian. As I look back and trace my steps to becoming a Christian,I always include my memory of hearing Mr. Wilborn share his heart, and I am thankful to have met him that day. I know the Lord looks on him and says "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
May God bless your family,
Sincerely,
Anni Grant

I do not know your family personally. My son who is now 36 years old, brought his first car from your car lot. It was a great car that he drove through his high school years and into college. I felt then as a Mom,that we had done business with a fair man. God's peace and blessings be to all. Numbers 6:24-26

Jack Wilborn holds a special place in my heart. I was introduced to him and his family family when I started dating his daughter, Tracy, many years ago. He took me in as one of his own and never made me feel uncomfortable when I was around him. He was one of the most generous and caring individuals I had the pleasure to meet. He was always there for his family and would not hesitate for a second to get into his car and drive hundreds of miles in the middle of the night to rescue us in a broken-down car. Jack was a Christian through and throughout and loved to talk the word of gospel. I will miss Jack.

Jack was one of the dearest friends I ever had the honor to know and a significant part of my life. He was an incredibly spiritual and decent human being and selfless in his devotion to God, his family and his friends. I will miss him more than words can say and will be ever grateful for his friendship. God Bless you, Jack. You were, and are, loved.

I did not know Mr. Wilborn personally, but have read many books about the tragedy in 1976. It has always been so hurtful to think of the emotional pain Mr. Wilborn went through because of it. I sincerely hope he is resting peacefully with Andrea now. The family will always be in my prayers.

Jack Wilborn was a great man, a wonderful husband to his wife, Betty, who passed away in November of 2003. Betty and Jack were close friends of mine for many years, and I love them and the two of their children I knew best, Tracy and Craig. Rest in peace, Jack, with your beautiful Betty and your precious Andrea.
