TO: LaDanian and All of the Tomlinson Family,
Even though we do not know you personally, we feel your pain of your loss of your Father, OLIVER.
LaDanian, We feel as though we know you from following you on and off the football playing field. We admire you and your wife for the PEOPLE that you are. The hard work that you have done to help so many people less fortunate than you. OUR GREATEST EMPATHY IS WITH YOU IN THE LOSS OF YOUR FATHER, OLIVER, TO HEAVEN.
I Lost my Mother, who was 89 yrs young, in August of 2006. She had the mind that none of our family could comprehend. She could remember everything. She was the most wonderful mother and wife that ever could be. I feel your pain as I and my Daddy,(77 yrs young) and my 2 sons,18y and 19y here on earth are grieving her loss.
It is very difficult to lose a parent. You have had them your whole life. LaDanian, your Daddy was taken too soon. I don't care if our parents are 71y or 89y, we are never ready to let them go. MY heart goes to you and up to GOD in PRAYER FOR YOU AND YOUR WIFE AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY.
When life calms down for you, feel free to write in it. We would be honored and it is good therapy. As you can see I have used it for Therapy. It might be good for you, and your family to write to your Daddy, Oliver, in this Guestbook also.
I Know the road looks very sad now.. and life will never be the same.
I know that all too well,
I lost my Oldest son, Curtis, C.J., only 21 years old. He is only 11 days younger than Phillip Rivers, Curtis, C.J., my Son, was born on December 19,1981. And Phillip's Birthday is December 8, 1981. Curtis, (C.J.) went to Heaven on Jan. 23, 2003. My youngest Son, was 14, my middle son was 15, when C.J. went to Heaven. They are now 18 and 19. Chris, the 18 yr old has done alot of research on you and your family and your charity activities.
We used to live in San Diego and the 2 youngest boys were born in La Jolla. We lived over looking, what was then "Jack Murphy Stadium". My Son, C.J. was a wonderful, the most kindest Hearted person here on earth. Just like what your Daddy, Oliver, looks like. I can see it in his eyes and his smile.
He looks like he has such a kind heart. I wish I could have had the pleasure to know him on this side of Heaven. I
If he is anything like you, LaDanian, he is wonderful. Remember, he may have left this Earth but your Daddy, Oliver, did not DIE.. He just moved to Heaven.
PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT ME.. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN HELP WITH.. I AM NOT SAYING THAT AS A FAN.. I AM SAYING THIS AS A CHRISTIAN SISTER TO YOUR FAMILY..
MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS IN THE GUESTBOOK....
I will do whatever I can to help--- no strings.. I just want to do what GOD SHALL HAVE ME TO DO FOR A FELLOW BROTHER AND SISTERS THAT HAVE LOST A Dear Dear LOVED ONE.. BECAUSE I AM THERE IN THE BOAT WITH YOU.
I LOVE YOU ALL.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU AND MAKE HIS FACE TO SHINE UPON YOU AND GIVE YOU PEACE. AMEN

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

May God hold you all in the palm of his hand during this tragic and trying time. What a terrible end to marvelous year for your family. Undoubtedly Oliver was filled with pride over raising such a fine young man and a beautiful family. It takes a strong man to raise such an upstanding son, we have a 7 year old son who worships LT as his ultimate role model and could not be happier that he has chosen him as his inspiration. From all we have seen LaDanian is not only an excellent athelete but a wonderful and giving man as well. I have no doubt he is a testament to the wonderful man his father was and we keep all of you close to our hearts and in our thoughts and prayers during this time. God bless.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious. You will be missed Love, Beauty Your Niece
