Brooke Bennett Obituary
Brooke Bennett's body was found about 4:45 p.m. said State Police Director Col. James Baker.
"The painful discovery of Brooke's body today is tragic and heartbreaking," Baker said.
He called the death "clearly suspicious" but declined to give details before a planned briefing Thursday morning.

For those who have not had the experience of losing a dear child, it is impossible to understand the depth of such a pain. In fact the human mind only gradually accepts the terrible reality. There is no right length of time of grieve. But sharing loving memories with other will help you to cope. God is for us a refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found during distresses.

I am so sorry for what happened. I wish I couldve been there with you. I never, in my darkest dreams, imagined that of everyone I knew...it would be you--BROOKE--who would be ripped from loving arms and stolen away. I remember you so well. Those nights we spent playing and watching funny movies with Savannah and Dennis. I remember you loved to help me make Kool Aid. You had the most beautiful laugh I've ever heard. I can hear it now just as easily as I can picture your long hair bouncing around while you skipped around the house joyfully. You, Savannah, and Dennis were the first children I was ever attached to...and you helped me through my pregnancy with all of your energy and beautiful little smiles. I am devastated....trying to gather myself and see the world as a beautiful place again.
I feel devastation, betrayal, and anger.
I cannot imagine the horror you faced...but I can imagine your peace. The sunshine isn't so bright without you.

As we passed by Randolph on our way to Long Island for the holiday, we could not help but think of Brooke and say a prayer that she would somehow be home with you again ... safely.

Our family had a very similiar incident years ago, in White River. A friend was taken away from the family way to early in life.
