Remembering you on your birthday
September 2, 2010
Je suis vraiment désole pour le morte de Guillaume. Mais j’espère que l’espérance de la résurrection fortifier votre fois en un monde meilleure (Jean 5 : 28, 29 ; Psaume 37 : 10, 11).

For Guillaume...The son of French movie star Gerard Depardieu.
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Gerard, your acting was new to me with Green Card, and admired your soulfulness in it. Have read a little about your son who has died, and sending that same soulful support to you in your grief.

Dearest Gerard,
I am terribly saddened at the loss of your son. May you remember only the happy/sad times with him and release any painful memories, as though they were a delicate bird that you have nurtured back to health. Let them go.

I met a young, good-looking Guillaume Depardieu at the Sarasota Film Festival in Florida. He had such charisma and charm. I remember my friend and I spent most of the time when we weren't working chasing Guillaume around hoping he would notice one of us. It is a fond memory and I am saddened to hear what a difficult life he led and that now he is gone. My deepest sympathies for his daughter who will not get to know her father.

As parents who have also lost a son in his young adulthood, our hearts and our prayers go out to Gerard Depardieu, and Guillaume's family. Avid francophones, we had seen Guillaume's films and knew that he had an extremely promising career.

My deepest sympathy to this family. I did not know who this young man was but his father's work has impressed me much, so I know that he was not only beloved, but had the creative DNA etched into his genes. I am so sorry. I know what it is like to lose a young son.
My prayers are with you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am so sorry for your loss Gerard. I didn't really know who this man was but realized he looked so familiar because he resembles his father so much. Words can't take the sorrow that you and your family are feeling but know you are in the thoughts and prayers of a stranger from Florida
