Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your dear love one. “And no resident will say: I am sick…” Isa 33. In this time of a loss of someone special in our lives be comforted to know God cares and will help us endure through his love with comfort and peace. We miss this talented person whom many no doubt respected and admired.

In 1973 Bill and I became spiritual brothers in the small Spanish town of La Antilla during a long meditation course with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He had been away from the Church for 40 years, and I had just left the seminary for a time at the age of 23. We helped each other uncover spiritual roots many an evening while sharing good vino tinto, sardines, and french bread--conversations Bill describes in his book "A Season in Heaven." We began to attend Mass at the village church daily which Bill described unpiously as "the best show in town." I send deepest sympathy to his sons Dan and Tom as I remember Bill with delight and gratitude.
