God bless Mr. Ingram and his family. The dedication and fortitude he showed in bringing wrong-doers to justice and providing the oppressed and abused with a voice is a most wonderful legacy. May you find peace knowing that when God opens the Book of Life, He will, indeed, say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." May God's peace and blessings be with all of you forever.

Jim Ingram is the embodiment of what is great about America. I met him when I was going to school in Mississippi in the sixties and took heart at his courage in pursuing what was right and decent, no matter the consequences.

It was my pleasure to meet Jim Ingram one time in Henryetta, OK. He was visiting with my boss at the time, Mr. W. R. "Dick" Stubbs, owner at the time of First National Bank in Henryetta. How proud we are of Mr. Ingram and his entire family. I know there are many folks from Henryetta who still remember Mr. Ingram and his family.

America has lost a true hero. Sad to say I don't remember hearing of him until tonight on NPR. But I was awed. I understand he was from Henryetta, OK, my mother's hometown. My sincere condolences to his wife and family. I am an Episcopal priest and will include him in our prayers for those who have died on Sunday.

I am a 65 year old Caucasian man who never met nor knew Mr. Ingram, but I certainly believe he was a true American hero. I was born and have lived my life in Virginia. I had a great-grandfather who served in the Confederate Army. At the same time, I was brought up as a Christian and was taught to be respectful of all people unless their actions merited disrespect. During all my working life, I have associated with persons of many different backgrounds and races and have found most to be friendly and good as long as I treat them that way. That is possible all over our Country. While the focus in 1964 was on the South, I think it is true of the entire Country that the actions of people such as Mr. Ingram, who had the courage to stay after the evil-doers, have made it possible for the rest of us to be better citizens and better neighbors to each other. God's blessings on Jim Ingram, his family and friends, and all others who seek to protect the best values of our Country - as I believe Mr. Ingram so gloriously did.

Being one of the first female Special Agents in the Bureau, and going to New York City as my first office, I shall always remember SAC Ingram as a "big" man who always had a smile and a great laugh. He was very helpful; and, was very well respected by all who came in touch with him. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers; and, at last he has found peace.

Mr. Jim Ingram was born and raised in my hometown of Henryetta, Oklahoma, in a wonderful Christian family. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. I am so proud to have known his family, even though I didn't know Jim well as he was older than I. They were very proud of his service in the FBI, and Henryetta, Oklahoma, is proud of Jim today and shares in his family's and America's loss. God bless you and comfort you in your sorrow and bring you peace in your many wonderful memories of Jim, a true hero in every sense of the word. Thank God for men like Jim Ingram who served his fellow man honorably and well, and raised a fine family. Thank you, Jim, God bless you!

How do you thank someone for sharing their gifts of honor, integrity, duty and courage? Thank you Mr. Ingram for giving me and my peers someone to look up to when we were coming of age. Now, my children and their peers better understand the concept of personal integrity and the need to stand strong on principle - even when the battle seems lost. Because of your example and dedication, the world is a better place. Rest well, your battle is done.

A great man has passed a true hero. Many people turned their head and looked the other way. Many said "What is the use...that was a long time ago let it go". But Mr. Ingram believe the Word of God..." You shall reap what you sow". He took an oath and he really meant it!! " To protect and serve" (ALL) May the Lord reward you richly!! RIP.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My God, My God, My God, I know that there is a place for you in Heaven. My God said if you love me, then protect my Sheep and that you have done. It is without a doubt, I know you are on the right hand of God's Throne. You have lived and served well and for that I commend you. To your family, thank you for sharing him,his knowledge and expertise with the world. I was only 2 years old at the time but I was told all about it; how awesome he was during that time. So, I say to the family; love all things, endureth all things and hopeth all things and live your life so that you can see him again. May God Bless each and everyone of you.
