I used to babysit for Colin and his when they only had c. Jay junior and there he was, the nicest. Most soft-spoken generous man. I had ever met and he was huge.
That was in Lafayette, Colorado. We had a great time babysitting and I never would have thought your health would have been an issue rest in peace, my friend.

I'm watching Thursday Night Football. Rams are out playing the Vikings and Todd Gurley running back for the Rams reminds me of Cullen Bryant when he was the running back for the Rams. I was Cullen's Hair Stylist, I kept him Stylin Smilin and Profilin. He was always the Ultimate Professional Gentlemen, on and off the field. RIP Cullen.

Saw him hit someone in a game at Iowa State, prob. 1971 or 2 and it rang or boomed thru the whole stadium, unreal.

For Cullen...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain ... on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers' arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night, and, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments, and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled in the arms of God. I walk with the angels and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you: I am peace, love. I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumn's leaf that floats in the garden of God. And I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me,
For I shall never die,
As long as you remember me ...
With a smile and a sigh.

Sam and the Bryant family, my condolences to you on your loss. As evidenced by the testimonials here, Cullen has shown us that it is not the quantity of life that God has given us but the quality that we live that life. My remembrance of Cullen is of an easy going and kind kid I met at Helen Hunt elementary and ran track with at South Jr. The qualities that people loved about him as a man and football player took root long before I met him. May he rest in peace.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

My prayers and condonlences to the Bryant family. I live in Colorado Springs (a transplant from St. Louis) and Cullen and I talked everyday about football. I am a city bus driver and Cullen rode my bus (sometimes with his daughter, Brianna). He is a caring father and a friend to all that know him. His smile, his consideration of others and his daughters look of pride in her eyes when she was with her father will always be with me because no matter what ounce of fame and fortune Cullen may have had, he was always down to earth and respectful to all that was around him. Thank you Cullen for touching my life and to everyone that had the blessing to know you.

Mr. Bryant was one of many childhood heroes of mine. He was the star running back on my team when we played the 70's version of Fantsy Football. I hope his family is doing well, and that they know he meant something (in at least a small way) to more people than they will ever know.

I'm very sorry to have read in the obituaries that Cullen Bryant passed. Even though I have not met your family, I sympathize and hope everything is going as well as can be expected. One thing we can learn as life goes on is how strong and sure God's love is, always ready to comfort and heal. With deepest sympathy and a prayer that his love will be with the family in a special way. May God comfort you at this time of sorrow and bless you through the days ahead. Our Father above loves us so much And will never leave us alone He will not forsake us in our need To face this on our own, For all things you will have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to you.

But know that his spirit will reign forever more in your hearts. May this be a time that your family will come together and be on one accord. Hello, my name is Charles Lee. I like so many are sorry to know of the loss of Mr. Bryant. I remember him as a player. Please know that his family can still be encouraged by the hope found in God's word, particularly these word...Mat. 5:28-29 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment". So be comforted and thank Jehovah God and Jesus Christ for this wonderful hope.
