Jeriome, I miss you big time bud. Been feelin like you've been near hear lately man, got the chills for the fifth time again tonight right now. Been spending a lot of time with your sis dude, she misses you so much man. I check on your Mom every chance I get, she is hangin in there I hope you can give her as much comfort as you can from up there though it would help. Her and Sheila both need some strength to go in your room and clean it and what not, no one has been in there since you left bud. I put my hand on your door every time I'm there though, love you dude. I hope you and Brent and grandpa are playing ball up there every day...I know you are :) Want you to know Tiffany and Shelly are missing you too, some broken hearts down here with Brent wrecking his motorcycle just like you did, we just don't understand why it happens to such wonderful people like the two of you man. Think about you every day my friend and I will continue to miss you till we get to go fishing again...love you dude. Peace.

Back in 2002, I was in the stands of Sky Sox Stadium, Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was just a local fan ready to watch the New Orleans Zephyrs, vs the Skysox. I sat directly behind home plate, right next to Jeriome Robertson. It was standard procedure for the pitcher scheduled to start the next day to keep tally. I talked to Jeriome most of the game, and at the end I got him to sign a baseball. I remember telling him that he better make it to the Majors because I just spent $5.00 on a baseball, ha ha!!! I'm glad that he made it. R.I.P. Jeriome.

The past few days, I haven't stopped thinking about you, man. it's just now setting in that you're actually gone. I keep having flashbacks to when I first met you, when I was ten. Then two years later when you were a staple in the Z's clubhouse- you started in the AAA all-star game that season and you struck out something like 200 batters. I'll NEVER forget that season or you. You're the reason I stuck with that job for so long. I'll be campaigning for the Zephyrs to retire your number 2 for as long as I have to. I love you and miss you SO much, man. Have fun playing ball with all the legends up there in Heaven, J-Rob! I'll be seeing you again soon, dude.
P.S. - they're still called "crawfish," not "crawdads!"

My condolences to the Robertson family. I remember always seeing Jeroime with his grandpa playing baseball no matter what time of year it was. I know they had a very special relationship. I remember seeing Jeroime in the high school parking lot the morning after games he pitched reading the local paper and talking about all his strikouts. A home town idol is gone but definetly not forgotten.

I got to know Jeriome when he was first
drafted by the Astros and playing in Kissimmee, Florida. He was always so funny and sweet and so much fun to be around! He always made me laugh! After the training season was over and he went back to California, I lost touch with him, but could never forget him and his smile and laugh and thought about him often over the years!! His family will be in my prayers and I send my most sincere condolences!

To the Family and Friends of Jeriome Robertson,
I am so sorry for the sudden death of such a talented young man such as Jeriome. May you find a measure of comfort at the following scripture Psalms 34:18-"God is near to those broken at heart..."
You can feel that Death can leave a heartache that nothing can heal, jusr know that Love can leave a memory that no one can steal.

You befriended an older guy while you played in Round Rock and I will not forget that. You were more than just a ball player, you were a good person who was full of life, love for your family, wife and kids. You left a lot of good memories for a lot of people. Here at work, I have told stories about you, your grandpa Tim, even about your neighbors across the street who gave me tomatos when I brought the baseball signed by Nolan Ryan to give to Tim. You will be missed, but the memories live forever.

Jeriome, I close my eyes and see that beautiful smile! I am going to miss your hugs and words of encouragement. I know that you are up there looking down on us saying "quit all that crying silly", but it is hard. I want to say thank you for planting that little baseball seed in LJ.... Hopefully one day he will be in the majors to say, Jeriome Robertson helped me get here. You will never be forgotten!!!

Deeply sorry for your loss. The promise God makes is to bring back all those who have died This will happen because the God who cannot lie has said it. Then people will have a chance to live the real life. The one we were created for originally. The one which makes us truly happy. That is serving our creater and making him happy, not ourselves.

Your grief may ebb and flow. It has been
said that each of us has a well deep
inside of our hearts that can be filled
to the brim with grief. Everytime we cry
we empty out some of the well. Eventually
the well fills again. The level of sorrow
in your well may lessen as time passes,
however, it will never run dry. There
will always be wonderful memories you
cherish, then the well seems to fill to
it's brim again. Allow yourself time to
remember and mourn. It's okay, it's part of your healing. Grief is a continuing
journey. Jesus promised he will restore
our loved one's to life. Please accept
my deepest condolences.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Jeriome's Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief. At times like these, "God is near to those who are broken at heart;
And those crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34:18) I hope this will bring you a measure of comfort. Death is an enemy as the Bible states, and soon it will be brought to nothing-1 Cor. 15:26.
May your warm memories and sure scriptural hope sustain you at this difficult time.

Jeriome: I know you can see me, I recently began my umpiring career in Connecticut. I was manager of my team who played numerous other teams in northern Connecticut and Massachusetts. Baseball is my life and I have a new son who, hopefully, will follow in my steps.

May the Lord cradle you in heaven and keep you safe. Keep pitching, Buddy, I will be there to call your pitches.

I really enjoyed watching Jeriome while he was an Astro. He was a fine pitcher; so sad to leave so young in life. My late Dad (who would be 95 now) played baseball years and years ago for one of the Cleveland "farm" teams. He and his friend Tony York were so
in awe of Tris Speaker. God hold Jeriome and his family in his arms.
