so so sad to take so many lifes i really think we were lucky that awful day as my son has just walked onto the bridge in egremont with his friends when a lady told them not to look and to cross over and walk the other side so sad rest in peace to you all x sleep tight

October 5, 2010

To all the relatives of this tragic happening. I was at school with Jane and Barry and can't let you out of my mind.
Praying for God's comfort to your souls each day.

October 4, 2010

This horrible event still seems so prevelant in my mind. We should never forget that there are children that will grow up without their parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt etc.

Let us never forget just how horrific and tragic this was, and how a great deal or pain and sorrow, added to this county that was already suffering after two other tragic events.

I will never forget and neither should you.

July 15, 2010

The years may come and go, but the memories of our love ones will live on forever in our hearts. There is no right length of time to grieve. But, sharing memories with friends, relatives and others will help you cope.

My condolences to all the families.

What an awful day. I went from relief, knowing that my family & friends were all ok to heart break, knowing that others were not so fortunate.
I can not put into words the sympathy I feel, for the grace of God, it could have been any of us.

We visited each and every one of the victims' place of tragedy, to pay our respects, although none of the people were known to us. Our thoughts go with everyone affected at this dreadful time.

Having lived for 22 years in West Cumbria up to 1999 and got to know every nook and cranny distributing Kleeneze catalogues for 15 of those years, I feel deeply touched by the awful tragedies of 2nd June and wish to let everyone know I am thinking of them in their horror. I only knew Mrs Purdham as a customer and she taught my 3 daughters netball at St. Bees School, but all the murders and woundings really hit home, happening in such familiar places that I can still picture so clearly in my mind. My family and I were only in West Cumbria last October and visited a friend in Beckermet. How could someone scar such a beautiful area with such friendly people so? Be strong everyone - I shall join you all in the minute's silence.

Who knew what would happen on that beautiful June day,
Lives were totally shattered,
Twelve loved ones taken away,
Death came and left many hearts broken,
Special ones gone with so many words left unspoken.
Everyone has their memories to help them through the pain,
The relatives would give away those memories,
To hold their families once again,
The good times they had,the laughs that they shared,
All went to show somebody cared.
Memories are something, No one can ever steal,
Death is a wound that will never ever heal,
Life will go on without them,
Those words are so very true,
But deep in your hearts are your precious memories,
Of your loved ones and You.

God Bless You All RIP

I only knew you through Martin White when we used to drive past the rank and you would always be there. Martin would shout to you "Maaaa Maaaaan" and you would shout it back or vice versa. That always made me and Keira laugh. Then you changed it to "Meee Chickens" cause we have chickens and ducks. From there you had me in stitches when we drove past and stopped for the banter. You will be very sadly missed. You should never have been taken away from us so soon in such a tragic way. I will never forget you. May you be at rest now. xxx
