I read the story under the website Digital Journal, "Woman's Death in Katrina Reveals Human Side of Disaster", by Carol Forstoff. I lost my mother (Cecile Martin), during the night of August 28-29. Let me phrase it this way: She and my mother lived in Lakeview for many, many years, not maybe on the same block, but that counts as close, and makes them (and us, too,) neighbors. You have my love and sympathy.
