I was fortunate to meet Mr. Rogovin in 1985 when I was a UB student. He came to mind recently when I was sorting some belongings, including "The Forgotten Ones." I have no doubt he is part of the reason I later focused my legal career on worker justice. Respect to Mr. Rogovin and his humble manner accompanying wonderful accomplishments, and best wishes to his family.

I truly admire someone who takes an interest in those who are considered lowly by worldy standards. Mr Rogovin imitated Jesus in this regard Acts 4:13. May this family find comfort in the God of comfort. 2Cor 1:3,4

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to your family. May the many photograhys created by your father remind you of his love and hard work. And may you find comfort in knowing God will provide power beyond what is normal to cope with your loss. (2 Corinthian 4:7)

May God comfort the family and friends of Mr. Rogovin. We can all look forward to the time when death will be no more and instead of tears of sorrow there will be tears of happiness.

To the Rogovin Family and Friends,
Deeply sorry for the loss of such a family treasure such as Mr.Rogovin. He lived a long life and I know he must have shared many wonderful memories over the years, a thought I hope you all will cling too.
In this sad period find comfort at Psalms 34:18-"God is near to those broken at heart..."
You can feel that Death can leave a heartache that nothing can heal, just know that Love can leave a memory that no one can steal.
P.S.-My husband dear Aunt Virginia just passed away Jan.11,2011 she also was 101.

Rogovin Family,
I am sorry for your loss. WOW, the things your father must have seen through his eyes. I'm sure he had wonderful stories to tell. People who are underprivileged go without being heard or seen, your father made it possible for them to shine. Just think, one day " the righteous themselves will possess the earth". (Ps. 37:29) May you forever have a smile on your face knowing you have fond memories.

So sorry for your loss. I love photography myself. Even though I never saw any of his photos, it seems like he showed people the suffering of others and made people sit up and think of the poor and lonely. God bless you in you time of need. You will always have your memories and the photos that showed the kind of man he was.

Life is relentless, and Milton showed us the beauty and the dignity of that struggle as written in the faces and family stories he captured with his lens. Thank you Milton, for the gift of your images, the poetry, the magic of how you saw the world and the lessons you exemplified in humanity. There is no doubt you will continue to be loved and known not only through your art, but also through the beautiful work and kind spirits of the incredible family you and Anne created.

God gave this man a special eye to capture the soul spirit of the forgotten ones, He spoke for them in his photography. He is now in Paradise resting till the rapture when he will share God's Glory!

May Dr. Rogovin's beautifully haunting photographic works, which he so purposely and generously shared with the rest of the material world, remind us all, that in our mad rush to the top of the 'heap', we are better, kinder people when we choose to acknowledge those who, for many reasons, were left behind, and invariably, forgotten.
Thank You, Milton Rogovin.

We need to be the voice of those who have no voice and because of their economic status are invisible so thanks to your father for his focus. Soon there will be no poverty or inequality under God's government. Then all people will enjoy earth's bounty

I couldn't help but think of the wonderful privilege Mr. Rogovin had to be here more than a century..."special mightiness", indeed! (Psalm 90:10) What a wonderful legacy he has left for us all...to show the world as he saw it through his eyes, simple and truthful. May he awaken in God's New World to see, with perfect vision, a world made beautiful, clean, untarnished and happy, the way God originally intended it to be (Genesis 2:15, Psalm 37:10,11,29;Isaiah 25:8,John 11:11-13,21-26).

The world seldom sees such a bright light as the spirit of Milton Rogovin. His art was to shine that light where too many feared to look. Thank you good sir.
