To the children and family of Almena, may you find comfort and strength in knowing that one day soon you will have the chance to see your loved one again. She spent her life in efforts of making sure everyone was treated equally. May you find comfort in knowing that God is not partial (Acts 10:34) and one day soon he will see to it that everyone will be in peace and harmony with no more prejudices.

Dear Mark,
I was saddened to read of your mother's death. She did not go gently to her death nor, indeed, into her life, as witnessed by her impressive accomplishments.
Please call me sometime. I'd love to talk to you.
With heartfelt sympathy,

To the Lomax Family and Friends,
In this most difficult time I hope you all can find a measure of peace from the many wonderful memories Mrs. Lomax must have made through the years.
Almena was a pioneer, and trailblazer for all who came behind her, so through God promises he will keep her in his loving memory, we can find hope in the following thought:Psalms 37:29-"The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it".
1Peter 5:7-"...throw all your anxieties upon him(God), because he cares for you".

What an extraordinary life story Almena had, few are able to handle much less see, the bigger picture of life events, while juggling everyday concerns. But, it seems Almena was one who did just that.
It takes a lot of heart to look outside of yourself to the concerns of others, so thank you for that. (Galatians 6:2) . . .Go on carrying the burdens of one another, and thus fulfill the law of the Christ.
You will be missed...
