Sam Faust Obituary
The Cowboys said Faust, a 26-year-old father of three, died early Monday after a two-year fight with acute myeloid leukemia that was diagnosed in 2009.
Born in Proserpine in north Queensland state, Faust made his first-grade debut in the 10th round of 2007 and played in five straight victories to end the regular season before featuring in the Cowboys three playoff appearances that year.
North Queensland chief executive Peter Jourdain said it was a sad day for the Cowboys and the rugby league community, adding "Sam was a talented young footballer and a fine young man."

While visiting my sister Olivia's memorial page on-line, I came across Sam Faust obituary, I could not help but to send some words of comfort to his family but most of all to this three children. My loving sister also died of Leukemia, Acute Lynphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) six months ago and it is very hard to accept such fate. Please know that my prayers are with you and your entire family as you deal with such a tragedy. I know how it feels and how much it hurts, please know that the good Lord of eternal light will be with you during this time of sorrow. And I hope that you find comfort in knowing that Sam is now your guardian angel who will protect and watch over you from this point forward. Do remember that:
Cancer cannot corrode faith or shatter hope; it can't destroy peace or silence courage; it cannot invade the soul or steal eternal life; it cannot conquer the spirit or cripple love; and it cannot kill friendship or suppress memories, may you carry Sam in your hearts for life!!!
