Godfrey Myles Obituary
Myles' cousin, Requel Gibson, told The Associated Press on Sunday that Myles died Friday morning.
The Miami native played for the University of Florida from 1987-1990. He served as team captain and made the All-SEC team his senior year.
Myles was selected by the Cowboys in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He played six years with the team, earning three Super Bowl rings. He retired after the 1996 season.

I met Godfrey at Eric Albohers home one day and we talked about art he expressed how much he loved art and that a lot of people would find it unusual that a big guy like himself would think that he did.

Dear Godfrey, I only met you once, we had a neighborhood cook out with close friends. I sat across from you, it was such a privilege to meet a shinng handsome star. We had crawfish , corn in the cob, potatoes, potato salad, and lots of beer. Everyone pitched in for our cook out. You were tall , wearing a fancy Royal blue sports jacket and matching pants ,and cool designer sneakers, I was star strucked to have met you. I can't believe your gone. You will be missed.

I remember so vividly the day we met. Your friend thought we'd look good together so he introduced us. That night, at dinner, you touched my soul. I regret being young and foolish and not taking your love for me seriously. I've missed you so much and today I began to look for you and found out that you died, less than a year ago. I cant describe how deep that burns my soul. I always thought I'd see you again. I thank God for allowing me to get to know one of his most prized, most blessed, most annointed children. Godfrey, this is still so unbelievable to me. I can't grasp that you are gone. I keep thinking I am going to run into Honey again and then an hour later hear your deep low laugh when I answer my phone. I wish I would've waited for you that day at the track meet, to see you one last time. I have soo many I wishes, but it's all too late.
