To the family of Hella Haasse
I am so sorry for your lost, it is truly a blessing that Hella lived so long as psalm 90:10 says “In themselves the days of our years are seventy years; and if because of special mightiness they are eighty years, may you find comfort from the word of God.

I'm so sorry for your loss. "In a Dark Wood Wandering" is one of my favorite books. I re-read it just recently. She accomplished so much in her long life and gave so many pleasure by her books. A. Smith, OK

To the Family of Hella Haasse ~ Please accept my sincerest condolences. She was well known as an award-winning author and best known for chronicling colonial life in the Dutch East Indies. The many children who read her first novel, "Oeroeg," will never forget her or the story. May Ms. Haasse's family and friends always cherish the precious memories they had with her.
