John, when we stood there with you John and Maggie and Uffa Fox on the the Isle of Wight all those years ago and watched your attempt to row Britannia when she was launched that day, we didnt know if you would make the Atlantic row! But you did. You proved yourself in so many courageous ways. Sincere condolences. RIP.

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Fairfax.
He was a hard man, always challenging you, and somewhat eccentric. Many a time I thought I would die working for him, but it only made me stronger. Rest in Peace John.

John was a man every living man would like to be. Corageous and unafraid. Meticulous in his planning for every adventure. He will sit with Hemmingway above us all. Tiffany,I know how proud you must be of this giant amoung men. Keep that pride until you are once more together. God bless.
