Linda & Paula,
So sorry for your loss. I knew your Dad when he came back to visit Richland during a couple of homecomings there. He and my dad, Kermit Hinshaw, grew up together. Your father was a very kind-hearted person and I felt privileged to know him. I grew up around your grandpa, Sumner, & enjoyed many visits to his home with my parents. You have a wonderful family heritage. Sallie Hinshaw-Hayes

I never met your dad but I felt as if I had. Paula always spoke about him with love & pride. Please accept my condolences.

Paula and Linda: The McCracken family were great neighbors on Hawthorn! I used to watch your mom and dad go on their walks. Your dad was always so pleasant, and it was fun back in the day to see him at a party at our house, or down the street, and then see him on Walter Cronkite news. It was a first-class life. God Bless you all.

Paula & Linda - my mother knew your father - not sure if it was at William Penn or Richland/Rubio area. She was so proud of him and in her place, I extend the deepest sympathies she would extend were she still with us.

Professor McCracken has left imprints upon my heart for a lifetime. He was not only generous in sharing his vast wisdom, knowledge and humor, but he bestowed his time. I can still recall how he would vividly engage an audience, captivating all with his wonderful memoirs and endearing accounts of his life, experiences and family. I'm blessed, indeed, for our friendship and will forever cherish the memories. Linda and Paula know that you both will forever remain in my prayers. Thank you for sharing your wonderful father. He will be sorely missed.
