Lucimarian Roberts Obituary
Jeffrey W. Schneider, senior vice president of ABC News, said 88-year-old Lucimarian Roberts died Thursday night.
ABC's Facebook page said Robins traveled "home to Mississippi just in time to see her."
The death came on the same day Roberts said goodbye to her co-workers and audience before starting medical leave for a bone marrow transplant.
Her departure had originally been set for Friday. But in a last-minute change of plans she told her viewers she was leaving a day early to visit her ailing mother.

You have my deepest sympathy . I am a descendant of the Toliver of the Vickburg MS area. Is it possibly that Mrs R parents were fr the same area. My great great gr parents are Hillard n Betty Toliver. Married around 1830s r earlier. Many family traveled north in the early 1900s.

Thanks to Rev. Belinda Curry of Louisville I learned of the death of Mrs. Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts and would like her family and friends to know that I, who never knew her until today, am greatly impressed with the work she did for the Master and the legacy she has left for her descendants and all of us. She had an outstanding life and ministry of which we can all be proud. She has finished the work God sent her here to do. Thanks be to God!

My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Roberts' family and friends. I had the privilege of meeting her and her daughter, Sally-Ann, while attending a conference at the Billy Graham Center in Asheville several years ago. She, along with her daughter, made such a lasting impression on me of her love for her family and for her Lord and Savior.

I am only part way through your mother's beautiful book "My Story, My Song". By her example, I am more determined to speak positive words into the lives of those around me and to take time for others. As a cancer survivor I pray for you, Robin. God has you in His arms and He will carry you through. I know you know that already, but it never hurts to hear that promise again and again. God bless you and your family. I wish I could have had one hour with your Mother, but then...I would have wanted the whole day. Zeph 3:17 "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. Robin Roberts and family,
What a Mother! You have may deepest sympathy for the loss of your Angelic Mother. I have read "My Story, My Song" several times. As I read chapter 6 "Standing on holy ground" it remeinded me of when I was at camp Middlesex with the Washington, DC Church of God.
Your reflections on life and faith as written in the book will forever be etched in my heart and on my mind.

I lived in MS for 27 years and moved to GA last year. I feel connected to MS with Robin. I watch Good Morning America because of Robin and the other hosts. Robin has shown character, endurance, compasion and her strength I'm sure came in part because of her mother. Our prayers are with the entire family during Mrs. Roberts loss and Robin's journey as she undergoes her MDS and that of her sister Sally Ann. With Mrs. Roberts passing I know God received a Saint in His house.

For years I had three photographs in my office....one of my Dad on the golf course, one of my wife and kids and one of me presenting Lucimarian with the Pat Santucci Spirit of the Coast award. The photo with Lucimarian represented the importance of dignity, fairness, quiet strength, decency. It served as a daily reminder to treat others with respect and humility. Dawn and I, Shawn, Andrea and their respective families remember Lucimarian fondly and will continue to embrace her lessons to us all.

I lost my mom in 2004 and there is not a day that I don't think about her. She spent almost 6 years in a nursing home which broke my heart. I could never do enough or be there for her enough as I had to keep working. You were so blessed to have your mom at home and your memories will be w/you every day. We never want to let them go, but go they must. Keep your friends and family close for they are your biggest asset.
