Jack Pinto Obituary
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz said he talked to Pinto's family, which is considering burying the 6-year-old boy in Cruz's No. 80 jersey.
Cruz honored Jack Sunday on his cleats, writing on them the words "Jack Pinto, My Hero" and "R.I.P. Jack Pinto."
"I also spoke to an older brother and he was distraught as well. I told him to stay strong and I was going to do whatever I can to honor him," Cruz said after the Giant's game with the Atlanta Falcons. "He was fighting tears and could barely speak to me."
Cruz said he plans to give the gloves he wore during the game to the boy's family, and spend some time with them.
"There's no words that can describe the type of feeling that you get when a kid idolizes you so much that unfortunately they want to put him in the casket with your jersey on," he said. "I can't even explain it."
Jack's funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday at the Honan Funeral Home in Newtown, followed by burial at the Newtown Village Cemetery.

Hi Jack I just wanted you to know we have the same name isn´t that cool? On December 14 2022 will mark a decade or ten years of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting Massacre. Life has changed the past years Sandy Hook Promise was made by another victim Daniel Braden´s father also another victim Dylan Hockleys mom Nicole Hockley. The bad news is there was another man´s shooting in Uvalde Texas were 19 students and 2 teachers were killed. I hope you can welcome them in heaven. Their names are Xavier Lopez , Uziyah Garcia, Rojelio Torres, Amerie Jo Garza, Layla Salazar, Makenna Lee Elrod, Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez, Jackie Cazares, Nevaeh Bravo, Jose Flores Alexandria Aniyah Rubio Eliahana Cruz Torres Miranda Mathis Jayce Luevanos Jailah Nicole Silguero Tess Mata Eliahna Garcia Maite Rodriguez Alithia Ramirez and the teachers

Jack, It has been over 8 years since you and 19 other little children and 6 beloved educators, left this earth and became part of God’s angels. I never met you or anyone else who was inside that school, so at times I think to myself, they have to be here living their life somewhere in this world, but hits hard because I then realize the reality of the situation. It hurts to know you all are gone, but I hope that heaven is even more beautiful than any of us could ever imagine. I hope you’re at peace. I hope your family has found peace. Its unexplainable, I just liked him when I saw him and later read about his tenacity and inspiration for life as I continue to read about him today. When the Sandy Hook tragedy happened, our family was shaken with grief and disbelief. I still shed tears thinking about the families that have had to endure such a senseless tragedy. I cannot imagine losing any of our children. When the tragedy happened, we had just "adopted" our "elf on the shelf" and or family decided to name our elf Jack, after Jack Pinto. Every year we remember you Jack, and all of the victims and families. We pray for you all and you should know you will never be forgotten Jack. When the tragedy of Sandy Hook took place, I asked my circle of family and friends to each choose a child to remember, along with their own family every year, just as though they were a member of our own family. I chose Jack Pinto and made a special remembrance..an image cut from wood of Jesus carrying the a cross with Jack's name and dates on it. Rest in peace, Jack. I know you are greatly missed.
