Although I did not know Capt Harris, I can only give you the words that I live by.... He showed no fear.... He did his duty, he ran into what we ran from! From the movie Secretariat........Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane? Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting? He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray. He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword. The quiver rattles against his side, along with the the flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.” – God as quoted in the book of Job, Chapter 39 verses 19-24 Thank you for your service sir! God bless you and your family! We will not forget, but even more.... we will remember!!!

We send our prayers and Aloha to the members of the Harris family. Though we did not know Kenny personally, what his cousin, Chris, shared with us conveyed that his wonderful spirit lives on. May God's grace provide you peace during this time of transition.

Luckey,
I am so honored of knowing you and having the pleasure of calling us friends. I have never told you this but I do appreciate you and your inspiring words for me to become a part of the fire service. I love it more everyday. I will miss you and I am so very sorry for your early departure on this earth.

Captain Kenny Harris...though I did not know the guy personally...as an emergency responder, he was a true hero. A fire man is always the bravest of all first responders. They are the first to go in to a burning building while others are running out. As a Police Officer it is sad to hear about our fallen brother. A hero to the State of Texas...A hero to the cities of Dallas and West. Thank you for your service sir. Your memory will live on. To your family...we thank you for a True Hero...A Honorable Man...A Respectable Man...A True Rolemodel.
Thank You. You are forever on duty.
