Dear Carol,
I was so very sorry to hear of Dr. Bowen's passing. My prayers continue to be with you, Rob and the rest of your family. Dr. Bowen was a wonderful man, who touched many lives. It was a privilege to have known him. I will treasure the memories I have with you both and will continue to remember him as I study in the Bowen Library, while obtaining my Master's Degree in Nursing. God Bless you!

Dear family, I remember "Doc Bowen" as a very humble, kind, brilliant gentleman, and a brother in Christ. He once assisted me in church when I had a near fainting spell. I also remember him as a very good soft ball pitcher. I can only imagine what he saw at the battle of Okinawa. Over his lifetime he demonstrated that he knew well Ephesians 2:8-10. Christians never say goodbye for the last time. Dick Maurice

This message is for Rick and Sandy who we have lost touch with through the years. Our condolences on the passing of your Dad. As your former pastor, my fond memories of your Dad are when he so graciously invited me to give the opening prayer at the assembly in Indy when he was speaker of the house and when he came to the baptism of your first child in Nappanee (St. John's by the way closed sadly last year). Your Dad was truly a wonderful person who left a great legacy to so many and he above all, was a dedicated disciple of Christ.

It's been years since I've seen Doc but I thought of him often. As a teenager I had the opportunity to know him as the Hoosier, the politician, the Doc and the great human being he was. He will most likely be an angel in heaven...as he was on earth. Enjoy your adventure Doc! Many blessings and sympathy to all the family members and everyone who was blessed to know this man.
