You did excellent in storm chasing with your dad and Carl Young, especially on "Storm Chasers" which aired on Discovery Channel. "The Wizard of Oz", which influenced your dad, had the main character, Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto stay alive in the storm because the tornado did not destroy that farmhouse (both the book and movie) because Lyman Frank Baum made the story more fantasy than reality.
