As a mayoral aide, I was privileged to have known Bill Lynch, who understood how to balance power with compassion and humanity. He was a unique and brilliant man, whose smile could light up a room. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Lynch family. Thank you for sharing "the gift" with New Yorkers! He was truly a man of substance and character who was devoted to politics and change. In 2012, I was honored to have ministered a word from God to Mr. Lynch. The world lost an icon, and most of all a genius. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

Bill was never confused about his purpose and mission ...HE unselfishly shared his passion ,his genius and time to GET those who would otherwise not be invited, at the Party . He was a Master Communicator . We must continue to move FORWARD ..BILL EXPECTS THAT OF US ...

We mourn a great soul.

“A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.”
? Nelson Mandela Bill had a heart full of compassion and hope which he passed on to his family and the people he touched (both here at 1199 and across the USA). What I loved about him the most was his humility. He was incredibly smart but didn't use that intelligence to put others down instead he used it to bring people up because that was the person he was. I see his family, and I see Bill reflected. Please know that we are with you. God bless you.

Bill Lynch touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He was an inspiration to one and all. He was a big man, who had a big smile, a wealth of knowledge and a heart of gold. Bill will always be remembered in our hearts and minds. You were taken away from us too soon. Rest in Peace Bill.

A beautiful gift to everyone who had the privilege of being mentored and guided by such a great man. It is a blessing to be around someone who is willing to deposit himself into others unselfishly. May Bill Lynch Rest In Peace!
