Brooklyn Shooting Victims Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 11, 2013.
NEW YORK (AP) — A man who apparently had been kicked out of a band fatally shot three of his bandmates and wounded a fourth early Monday in a Brooklyn row house before killing himself, police said.

It was not immediately clear why the man opened fire at the three-story building in the East Williamsburg Industrial Park, an area of mostly warehouses and a few homes.

Police say the shooter had been kicked out of the band, but they were not sure if that motivated the shooting.

All the dead were believed to be Iranian nationals living in the United States.

Police said officers responded after receiving a 911 call about shots fired inside the location.

On the second floor, police said they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. A 35-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the third floor. Another man was found on the same floor, fatally shot in the head; his age was not immediately known.

The shooter was discovered on the roof with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police said. A rifle was found next to his body.

Another bandmate was wounded on the arm. The 22-year-old was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

The victims' identities were withheld pending family notification.
