Peter was one of those few
bigger-than-life people you never forget. His generous support throughout my career was particularly meaningful because he rarely said 'yes' the first time I asked. Despite our long friendship, he made me earn his support each time, and I was a better candidate and officeholder for it. But I didn't just ask him for political support.
I sometimes asked for his personal advice;just a few months ago we met privately and talked about family and life. His last bit of wise advice to me was to always be open and honest, and you won't go wrong. Peter will be deeply missed by the many people like me whose lives he touched. Peggy and I send our deepest condolences to his wonderful family.

A special life has passed from sight... Embrace the memories that will comfort you. May the God of comfort be with you during this difficult time in your lives? It is refreshing to know that God's word speaks of a time when all sorrows will be gone and that mankind will live in beautiful surroundings having nothing to fear no pain or sorrow Isaiah 65:17, 21-24.
