Josefina Napravilova Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 21, 2014.
PRAGUE (AP) - Josefina Napravilova, a Czech woman who worked tirelessly as a volunteer to locate dozens of children taken by the Nazis from their families during WWII has died.

A museum in Lidice, where Napravilova was an honorary citizen, says she died Thursday at age 100 at a nursing home in the southern town of Tabor.

In the post-war chaos, Napravilova traveled to Germany, Austria, Poland and Sweden to find 40 children and help them return home.

A boy from Lidice, a town completely destroyed by the Nazis most of whose citizens were killed in retaliation for the assassination of Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich, was among them.

Napravilova worked for the International Refugee Organization in Vienna in 1948 before moving to Canada the following year. She returned in 1994.

Ms. Napravilova certainly followed the spirit of Hebrews 13:16, by "doing good and sharing of things with others".
And it will be good when Micah 4:3,4 is fulfilled and there will be no more wars and the resulting pain that they bring.
May this hope and the wonderful memories of Josefina, give you solace and comfort.

What a wonderful lady! It takes a great deal of love for people to have done what she did. I truly admire her. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Even though Ms. Napravilova lived a relatively long life, that does not diminish the pain of no longer having her with you. Please be comforted by your sweet memories of times that you shared with her and know that God see your pain and will help you through this sad time … Isaiah 40:11.

Sympathy to the family. Thanks to the love of Josefina many children were helped.

God is love.
1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love. 9 By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might gain life through him.

Love “does not look for its own interests.” It follows the principle: “Let each one keep seeking, not his own advantage, but that of the other person.” (1Co 10:24) Josefina was a true example of this. My condolences to her family and may you draw close to the God of all comfort during this time.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the death of this wonderful courageous woman! I have never heard this story before! How amazing she was. When Josephina is raised from the grave, it will be to a world without despots like Hitler! The earth will be totally peaceful, even the animals will be at peace with man and each other! Psalms 37:11 promises: "The righteous will possess the earth and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of oeace"! Then everlasting life will lie ahead for all those desiring to do God's will. May these thoughts of peace bring YOU peace!
