To the family, we are so deeply saddened and touched by your loss. No words could ever express our compassion and sympathies for you at this time. Your loss has touched the world and brought a community to its knees, yet we also see them standing strong to rally and hold one another. We think of you daily and pray for your peace nightly. Our family would like to do something special for you, if you could please contact us through Kurt's Cause on Facebook, or me directly through FB, I would greatly appreciate it. Until then, please know that we pray that you find the strength and courage that you so need each and every day. ~Kandy Hayes, and family.

We are sorry to learn of Joe's death. You are proud of Joe's life and his abilities to live his life. I always enjoyed hearing of Joe's accomplishments.
Our sympathy for this loss of a son and brother. Each memory you have will keep him close in your heart. You cared deeply for him . Thoughts of times you shared together will come at unexpected times and they will be both painful and warm. Remember the joyfulness of his life. He taught you about things that you never expected and added richness to your life.
Your caring of him added to his life.
With sympathy about this unexpected loss. This isn't how you thought life would be for all of you.
Thoughts for you both.

My dearest brother Jakespie (Joe), this isn't how it was supposed to be, you were supposed to be around until we both got old and grey. The tears wait for the strangest times, and then they flow. I promise to watch over our mom and dad. You will never be replaced, nor will you be forgotten. You will remain in my heart and in my memories forevermore. Thank you for that last phone call; you sounded like life was so good. Catch the big one in heaven, and I'll do the same here on earth. Beside me you will be in spirit, I am sure. I love you, love Rowena (Pam)

To the Miller Family: With deepest sympathy from the Cater family during this difficult time. As you remember with fondness the life you shared with Joseph, may you find comfort in the words at John 3:16. Remembering Joseph Miller as we pray for God's Kingdom to come freeing us of all our present day maladies including the hazards of mudslides that devastate families.
