Karlheinz Boehm Obituary
Boehm's group, Menschen fuer Menschen ("People for People") said he died at his home near Salzburg on Thursday. It didn't give a cause of death.
In the 1950s, the German-born Boehm starred alongside Romy Schneider in the television series "Sissi," playing Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria. He later appeared in Michael Powell's 1960 thriller "Peeping Tom" and in movies directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
In 1981, angered at the indifference of people in rich countries to poverty in Africa, he founded Menschen fuer Menschen. Its projects in Ethiopia have included efforts to build schools and hospitals. The group is now led by Boehm's wife, Almaz.

For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones (Hebrews 6:10). Mr. Boehm will never be forgotten for all the work that was done for this community and especially those encouraged and inspired in this persons' care. May God continue to strengthen the family and friends in these “times hard to deal with” (2 Tim 3:1), especially without a beloved one such as Karlheinz Boehm a talented and loved person gone from our lives but not forgotten.

No one can prepare you for a loss, I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of our father and I deeply saddened by the loss of Karlheinz Boehm.
Who will not be forgotten his commitment to bring changes, improving and sustaining the living conditions of our people, particularly in areas of Education, Heath, Agricultural-Ecology and Gender Child care sectors. I wish to express my deepest sympathies and sadness go out to you and your family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the death of Karlheinz Boehm. I was deeply impressed by the effort he exerted to help the less fortunate. Surely Mr. Boehm agreed with the thoughts expressed at Acts 10:34-35: "God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him." Karlheinz Boehm will be fondly remembered for years to come, and please find comfort in knowing that he is indeed precious in God's eyes.

To the families of Karlheinz. There were and are a very few people who understand about humanity and contribute their share to the others. Mr Karlheinz is among this very few people. He was a great person and history will remember him. Let God give you the strength to carry on what karlheinz years back started. How many lives were saved and children were educated. My condolences to Mr. Boehm's family. I read about the aid he provided in Ethiopia. About how he felt about their distress and poverty. It takes a very distinctively exceptional person to do that. To be able to feel that we have an obligation to our fellowman when they are in need. It puts in mind the text found at Acts 20:35. Mr.Boehm was truly a giver.
